Colorado is the place I’ve called home since 1971 when my family moved from the east coast. As we came across the plains of America and got closer to Denver, the first thing that caught my eye was the majestic Rocky Mountains. My childhood was spent exploring and camping in this incredible mountain range as summers brought cool breezes, warm sun, and the smell of pine and sage. Winters offered a playground of sledding, skiing, snowshoeing, and exhilarating views!

The South Park Valley

These views are of the South Park valley. A little over an hour from Denver, and just a pass away from the hustling and bustling town of Breckenridge over the less traveled Highway 9. A short drive from Fairplay and you’ll see the idyllic Colorado mountain town of Alma, the highest incorporated town in North America sitting at 10,578 ft. Continuing for another short drive you drop down into Summit County where summer and winter sports abound, and two ski areas are close by. South Park is quiet, locally run, and rich with Colorado and railroad history. Not yet discovered by developers, the Fairplay, Jefferson, and Como areas of South Park are much the way they have been for 50 years giving a peaceful place to live, but close to everything Colorado is known for!

My family has owned property in this area since the early 70’s as our mountain playground gave us immediate access to abundant wildlife, exceptional views, 14,000-foot peaks to climb, and sports that could only be had here. Whether you love skiing, snowshoeing, camping, hiking, fishing, four wheeling, or motorcycle riding, this location has it all!
