I think one of the things I love about the front range of Colorado is the variety of lifestyles it supports. Whether you like the city or the mountains, the foothills in between abound with things to do and see.

These Bighorn Sheep live in Waterton Canyon recreation area, just west of Denver, and are an example of how we can live close to magnificent animals if we respect them. Other wildlife you'll encounter in Waterton Canyon include Deer, Bears, and Mountain Lions, who also call this place home. Just about a mile up the canyon, on any given day, you can see these guys (and gals,) roaming around, somewhat oblivious to hikers and bikers. No dogs are allowed in the Canyon to protect them.

Waterton Canyon also leads to miles of hiking and biking, as it's the northern entrance to the Colorado Trail, where backpacking can take you across the state of Colorado, through numerous mountain ranges, river valleys, National Forests and Wilderness areas. The Colorado Trail crosses 567 miles from Denver to Durango through our majestic Rocky Mountains.
Whether you're into city living, mountain escapes, or something in between, the Front Range seems to have something for everyone, inviting us to connect with nature and immerse ourselves in its wonders. It's a testament to the diverse lifestyles and experiences that make Colorado such a special place to live, work, and play.
